Hero Xoom, Hero Splendor sales in March 2025

Sales numbers for the top six two-wheeler manufacturers are out for the final month of FY2025, and here’s how each company performed. 

Hero: 5,06,641 units

While in the last few months, Hero has been matched by or even eclipsed by Honda, in March 2025 it sold more than 5 lakh units, reporting a large 41.80 percent increase compared to the 3,57,296 units it sold in February 2025. With such a huge sales tally, Hero also reported a 10.93 percent increase compared to its sales number in March 2024 (4,56,724 units). Hero has been on a launch spree recently with the new Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R and two new Xoom scooters

Honda: 4,01,411 units

After it took the number one spot from Hero last month, Honda is once more in its routine first runner-up spot, but even so, with more than four lakh units sold in March, it reported a 4.56 percent increase compared to the 3,83,918 units it sold in February 2025. Similarly, even compared to its March 2024 sales numbers (3,58,151 units), it reported a 12.08 percent increase. We have been able to sample Honda’s first electric scooters for India, the Activa e and the QC1.

TVS: 2,97,622 units

TVS is in its usual third place spot but with sales of nearly 3 lakh units in March, the company has reported an 7.81 percent increase compared to its sales in February 2025 (2,76,072 units). TVS also reported a 14.24 percent increase when compared to its numbers for March last year (2,60,532 units). In FY2025, the Apache range of bikes cumulatively crossed the 4 lakh units sales mark, helping TVS register strong sales momentum. It bears mentioning that these numbers do not include those of the iQube electric scooter lineup, which is the one of the bestselling e-scooter models in our country. 

Bajaj: 1,83,659 units 

Bajaj too has retained its fourth place spot in March 2025 and has reported a 25.68 percent increase, compared to its sales for February 2025 (1,46,138 units). Bajaj also reported a minute 0.36 percent increase when compared to its sales numbers for March 2024 (1,83,004 units). Recently, in celebration of the Pulsar lineup crossing the cumulative two crore sales milestone, Bajaj has offered discounts on select models in the lineup. One must note that Bajaj bundles in the sales numbers of the Chetak electric scooter, which is the bestselling electric scooter in India currently, in the above mentioned number. 

Suzuki: 1,05,736 units

Selling over 1 lakh units in March, Suzuki had a very strong March and the company has reported a sizable 43.95 percent increase compared to its February 2025 sales of 73,455 units. Even compared to its March 2024 sales number of 86,164 units, Suzuki India has registered a healthy 22.71 percent increase. Suzuki recently launched a heavily updated Access scooter and is also working on updating the Burgman

Royal Enfield: 88,050 units

Just like every other manufacturer on this list, Royal Enfield too reported an 8.98 percent increase in March compared to its February 2025 sales of 80,799 units. Even in comparison to its March 2024 sales of 66,044 units, it reported an 33.32 percent increase.
