This 1970 Chevrolet Nova coupe was refurbished and modified during a build completed in early 2024 that included the installation of a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 with Holley electronic fuel injection along with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The body was refinished in black with a black vinyl roof cover, and the interior was re-trimmed in black using a TMI center console and front bucket seats. Chassis modifications include tubular front control arms, a rear four-link setup, adjustable coilovers at each corner, and four-wheel disc brakes. The car is also equipped with a Kenwood stereo, Vintage Air climate control, Dakota Digital gauges, an aluminum radiator, Rocket Racing wheels, and a dual exhaust system with coated headers and Black Widow mufflers. This modified Nova was acquired by the selling dealer in March 2024 and is now offered in Maine with parts records and a clean Florida title.
The car left the factory finished in gold, and it was repainted black with a black vinyl roof cover during the refurbishment. Details include SS badging, a driver-side mirror, and chrome bumpers. The seller notes wear visible on the side glass.
The car rides on a tubular control arms with adjustable coilovers up front along with a triangulated rear four-link suspension system with adjustable coilovers. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. Polished 18″ Rocket Racing wheels are mounted with 245/40 front and 275/40 rear Achilles ATR Sport 2 tires.
The cabin was re-trimmed during the build using TMI front bucket seats, coordinated rear seat upholstery, and a center console with cup holders as well as replacement carpets and door handles. The control and display module for the Holley fuel injection system is mounted to the left of the steering column, and a Kenwood CD stereo is mounted in the dash along with controls for the Vintage Air climate control system. The car does not have a horn.
The black aftermarket steering wheel frames a Dakota Digital instrument panel housing a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a digital display, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 307 miles have been added since the build was completed in 2024.
The 6.2-liter LS3 engine is equipped with a Holley intake manifold, a Holley Sniper throttle body, and a Holley Terminator X electronic fuel injection system. The selling dealer states a Brian Tooley Racing camshaft is installed, and the aluminum radiator is accompanied by an electric fan.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential. Coated headers feed into a dual exhaust system with Black Widow mufflers.
