Led Zeppelin have announced a new Live EP to mark the 50th anniversary of their definitive double-LP Physical Graffiti. The EP will be released on September 12th, alongside an updated version of the 2015 Physical Graffiti Deluxe Edition 3xLP set, both via Rhino.
Available on 12-inch vinyl, CD, and digital formats (pre-0rder here), the Live EP features four concert recordings originally released on the 2003 Led Zeppelin DVD. This will mark the first time the tracks — “In My Time of Dying” and “Trampled Under Foot” from Earl’s Court, 1975; “Sick Again” and “Kashmir” from Knebworth, 1979 — have been made available outside of that DVD.

The 50th anniversary version of the 2015 Physical Graffiti remaster, meanwhile, includes the previously available Companion Audio disc as well as a new bonus promo poster replica. Described as “probably… a pinnacle” by the band’s own John Paul Jones and originally released on February 24th, 1975, Physical Graffiti was the band’s first double-LP and their first release on their then newly launched Swan Song label.

“We had enough material for one-and-a-half LPs, so I figured, ‘Let’s put out a double and use some of the material we’d done previously but never released,’” said Jimmy Page. “I always thought the sequencing of an album was really important and that was part of my role as the producer.”
